First Things First: A Workshop for Lutheran Organizations Planning To Build
Workshop Description
Your congregation is looking for you to lead them. You’ve been elected, appointed or called to serve your fellow members by guiding your church through a building project. It’s a big responsibility. Are you ready? First Things First presents information you need to know and implement as the building process unfolds. There are two roads to follow during a construction project: 1) planning the building; 2) funding for the building. First Things First will help you travel down both roads and give guidance on how the roads merge together for the completion of a successful building project all to God’s glory. This hands-on leader workshop provides principles, guidelines, and next-steps recommendations for the building process. Best of all, this workshop is free provided travel expenses are addressed.

Excel in the Grace of Giving: A Workshop for Pastors and Church Leaders of all Types
workshop description
Excel in the Grace of Giving – a fresh way to view giving in challenging times. The biblical focus of Excel is this: God’s grace turns our giving into an investment, an investment that provides returns for eternity. It is a message that deepens the joy of giving, overcomes doubts and insecurity, and increases our generosity.
We believe that God’s Word works! We rely on this Word to confirm and strengthen the Christian’s desire and capability to give. We witness that Word at work - in good times and challenging times. Excel in the Grace of Giving is a biblical stewardship emphasis. It’s always important that …..
We acknowledge that our members may also experience tough times
We be a “share the promises of God” and “share the vision” congregation – not a “meet the budget” congregation
We remember our members are still motivated to give in support of Jesus’ saving mission, and
Leaders in God’s church commit to help and strengthen others through God’s Word
A keystone of Excel is a two-hour seminar for core members of the congregation. To give you a true sense of what Excel is all about we will present this seminar to your church council, stewardship or discipleship committee and their spouses free of charge! All we ask is that you commit to have at least 5% of your confirmed members attend. If out of our immediate travel range, we do ask travel expenses be reimbursed.
Following the three-hour seminar and a short 20-minute presentation we pray you will want our services for the entire program. But that is your decision. There is no obligation.
